Features:

- Install flush to produce a smooth surface, or protrude beyond the workpiece to ease alignment of mating parts
- Slightly oversized precision ground and hardened through pins with a chamfer on one end and radiused crowns on both
- Typically used for alignment or as a pivot
- Turning or cold-forming for blank heat treated precision centerless grinding
