The John Blue DP-03982197 Check Valve is designed to prevent backflow, siphoning, and bleed-through in liquid fertilizer delivery systems for planters and applicators. Constructed with a precision-molded glass-reinforced polypropylene body, it features a 316 stainless steel spring and ball, along with Viton® seals, ensuring durability and resistance to harsh chemicals. The valve is available with various inlet and outlet configurations, including 1/4″ NPT female, 1/4″ push connect, 5/16″ push connect, and 3/8″ push connect, accommodating different hose sizes and installation requirements. Its easy-to-clean and repairable design facilitates maintenance in the field, enhancing operational efficiency. Flow rates at different inlet pressures are as follows: 1.25 GPM at 5 psi, 2.65 GPM at 15 psi, and 4.00 GPM at 29 psi, based on tests using anti-freeze and the CV-1101 model with 3/8” hose barbs at 70°F. This check valve is an essential component for maintaining consistent and reliable fertilizer application in agricultural settings.
