The 16B Modified Mainshaft is a component designed for use with John Blue Company's 16B series squeeze tube pumps. This mainshaft is engineered to replace the standard shaft in the 16B-1 and 16B-2 models, facilitating the use of oval-shaped tubes with built-in backing plates. These tubes ensure accurate metering rates and positive shut-off due to their sealing design. The mainshaft is compatible with various John Blue 16B series pumps, including the 16B-1, 16B-2, 16B-3, and 16B-4 models, which feature 16 rows and utilize 3/8-inch metering hoses. The 16B series pumps are known for their durable construction, featuring sealed-for-life bearings that require no lubrication, rubber-coated rollers that reduce abrasion and resist corrosion, and heavy-duty PVC manifolds suitable for all fertilizers, including acid-based products. The pumps offer multiple outlet configurations, with 8 to 48 outlets available, and can be configured for higher rates by doubling the outlets. The sturdy, all-metal frame and multiple-coned sprockets allow for seven different delivery rates, making the 16B series pumps versatile for various agricultural applications.
