- Not recommended for steam service
- The NIBCO lug type butterfly valve provides bi-directional dead-end service without a downstream flange, and bubble-tight shutoff at 250 PSI
- The valve performs well in isolation and throttling applications, commercial, some light industrial process, and chemical applications that the liner compatibility will permit
