The Gates CC1.12 clamp collar is designed for secure connections in hydraulic systems. This clamp collar is compatible with 12mm hoses, providing a reliable solution for maintaining hose integrity under pressure. Constructed from high-quality materials, it offers excellent durability and resistance to wear. The clamp collar is easy to install and ensures a tight fit, preventing leaks and ensuring safety in operation. Ideal for use in various hydraulic applications, the Gates CC1.12 is a must-have for professionals seeking reliable hose connections.
Description
Previously available only through equipment dealerships, clamp collars are common on many types of construction equipment. The collars are actually crimped onto a hydraulic hose, reducing hose movement and minimizing abrasion. Use the following instruction to determine crimp diameter, which can then be used to find crimp setting at www.gates.com/ecrimp or in Gates Crimp Data Manual (428–7365 Auto./35019 Ind.).
Features:
- Crimping Instruction: Care must be taken when crimping clamp collars onto a hydraulic hose. If crimp is too tight, hose will be crushed, dramatically reducing its service life. If crimp is to loose, collar could slide along hose's length causing abrasion and eventual hose cover failure.
- Remember: Clamp collars must be crimped before the hose couplings.
- 1. Measure hose's outside diameter at the location where clamp collar will be crimped. This can be accomplished by using a pie tape or by using the average hose outside diameter measured with a dial caliper.
- 2. Measure wall thickness of clamp collar with a dial caliper.
- 3. Obtain crimp diameter by adding hose outside diameter to twice the clamp collar wall thickness; Crimp Diameter – (Hose O.D.) + (2 x .065).
