Merit Brass inventories a wide variety of ANSI Flanges whose purpose is to join two pieces of pipe or connect up valves in a piping system.
Because they are produced from forgings, they provide stability in high pressure, high vibration application, but still provide mobility in a
piping system by being bolted together for on and off installations. Raised face ANSI flanges are unique in the fact they have a raised face on
the interior portion of the flange. This raised face provides (in combination with a ring gasket) excellent sealing properties. Less common but
still utilized are flat face ANSI flanges which utilize full face gaskets for sealing purposes. Threaded ANSI flanges are utilized in low pressure
systems and where welding could be hazardous. The female threads of this flange mate with the male threads of pipe to form a connection.
