The Stem and Cartridge Puller allows for the easy removal of single-lever faucet stems and cartridges. This is a great tool for making quick, economic repairs to leaking valve stems and cartridges. The Puller is safe for use on both plastic and brass faucets and shower valves.

• For removing Moen style, single lever faucet stems, cartridges and sleeves.
• Works on sinks, tubs and showers.
• Useful for repairing leaks and drips.
• Safe for plastic and brass faucets and valves.

Instructions:

WARNING! Turn off the water supply before you begin to disassemble the faucet.

Remove the faucet handle screw cover (if equipped) and remove the screw. Pull the handle to remove.

To Remove the Stem or Plastic Cartridge:
1. Remove the “U” shaped clip that holds the cartridge in the faucet.
2. Place the open end of the tool (A) over the cartridge. Align and engage the tool onto the exposed cartridge.
3. Turn knob (B) on opposite end of tool handle to engage threaded extension (C) into the cartridge until fully seated. (Do not over tighten).
4. Rotate the tool clockwise and counterclockwise while pulling out.
5. Replace worn O-rings, seals or entire cartridge.
6. Reassemble faucet and check for leaks.

To Remove the Brass Cartridge Sleeve:
1. Compress the spring pin (D) on the end of the tool handle stem and slide the retainer sleeve (E) over to hold in place.
2. Insert tool into cartridge sleeve. The retainer sleeve will slide off the spring pin.
3. Push tool into cartridge and rotate clockwise and counterclockwise until the spring pin engages groove inside sleeve.
4. Turn tool counterclockwise to loosen sleeve and pull out to remove.
5. Replace worn O-rings, seals or entire cartridge.
6. Reassemble faucet and check for leaks.
