Appleton® NEER™ Duct Seal Compound, Bag, 5 lb, Non-Drying Synthetic Polymer/Oil Base, Gray, 25 to 120 deg F, 1.65 to 1.7 g/cc Specific Gravity
Features:
- Base of non-drying synthetic polymers and oils
- Saturated mineral fillers and other inert ingredients
- A gray, permanently soft, non-toxic, non-volatile compound that will adhere to most clean, dry surfaces
- May be painted immediately after application and will not bleed through the dry paint film
- Non-corrosive, will not corrode metal
- Non-irritant to eyes or skin
- Unlimited shelf life
- Used primarily by the building and specifically by the electrical trade to seal around junction boxes, flashings and service mast entries
- General purpose sealant for a variety of purposes
- It can be shaped by hand to any form and reused if necessary
- 1.5.1 at 212 deg F/100 deg C, 0.4.8 x 109 Ohm-cm 1.5.2 after 96 hours at 239 deg F/115 deg C, 4.8 x 1010 Ohm-cm (ASME power test code of 1965, Section 40.5) resistivity
- NEER™ duct seal may be painted immediately after application and will not bleed through the dry paint film
- Non-corrosive will not corrode metal
