John Crane C1050 is manufactured from continuous filament PTFE yarns that are tightly
braided for maximum sealability and long life. They are capable of handling a wide range
of liquids and gases. Excellent dimensional stability and conformability, along with a low
coefficient of friction, make these packings ideal for services where minimum adjustment
and change-out are critical. Since there is no graphite, these packings are well suited for
services where contamination is a concern. They have a high tensile strength, making them
ideal in applications involving high pressures at moderate to high temperatures and surface speeds.
