Anvil® Pipe Insulation Protection Shield, Series: FIG 167, #28C Shield, 12 ga Thickness, 28 in OD x 2 in Thk, Carbon Steel, Galvanized, 24 in L, Domestic
Features:
- Holds the insulation shield in place during installation
- Recommended for outside of foam or fiber glass insulation for distribution of loads to preclude crushing of insulation without breaking the vapor barrier
- 1/2 through 24 in pipe size with up to 2 in thick insulation
- Note: As actual foam or fiber glass insulation thicknesses vary, verify that the radius of the selected shield is suitable for the required application, shields are designed for a maximum span of ten feet on 15 psi compressive strength insulation, for compressive strengths greater than 15 psi, spans may be increased proportionately up to maximum allowable for steel pipe
