No need to remove thevalve cartridge from the system. Make sure the system is depressurized. With thevalve in place, simply close it, then tighten ( 1/4-turn maximum) the union nut onthe side featuring the word "ADJUST." This will increase the load ofthe carrier on the ball to compensate for seat wear. Remember: All union nutconnections for 1/2" through 2" plastic valves should be "handtight."
